Following the release of its latest 1:10 2WD buggy last week, Xray has now unveiled the 2027 edition of its XB4 4WD Buggy. As is now industry standard, the kit is offered in both Carpet and Dirt versions with the new Dual Shock Mounting Concept the big feature of the 2027 version. The XB4’27 introduces the completely new dual shock mounting concept that offers two alternatives shock positions of ‘Standard’ and ‘Laydown’ both for the front and rear suspension. This expanded suspension concept lets you select the shock layout that best suits the track surface, traction level and driving conditions. The Standard shock position maintains the proven traditional XB4 suspension layout, while the new Laydown configuration provides an additional geometry option to further expand the buggy’s set-up range. Other new features of the platform include countersunk aluminium components for easier installation of the optional steel chassis while graphite ball joints reduce friction and ensure smoother operation under load. Both the XB4C’27 and XB4D’27 now include the Epsilon body.
