This weekend, Verona becomes the Italian capital of entertainment, gaming, and modeling. On March 7 and 8, 2026, the Veronafiere pavilions host the 21st edition of Model Expo Italy, the most significant event in the country dedicated to both static and dynamic modeling.
This year's figures highlight the grandeur of the event: the fair spans 64,000 square meters and features over 450 exhibitors from companies and associations, spread across 10 thematic areas. With a rich calendar boasting over 100 events, including shows, demonstrations, and interactive workshops, the organizers are preparing to welcome more than 70,000 visitors over these two opening days.
A Journey Through the Wonders of Modeling
The beating heart of the event offers attractions for every type of enthusiast. In the Ferromodellismo area, attendees can admire unique railway models (such as those from the Gruppo Fermodellistico Piombinese) and experience the excitement of miniature logistics hubs with FREMO sessions. The Automodellismo section brings pure adrenaline to the track with the thrilling Drift RC show and the captivating moving city recreated by the Lombardia Truck Team RC.
Navimodellismo fans can witness a spectacular water battle curated by the Associazione Modellismo e Storia Firenze or explore radio-controlled sailing with the Yacht Club Verona. Don’t miss the latest in Aeromodellismo, which launches a new section dedicated to vintage models alongside the usual dynamic flight demonstrations. The Static Modeling area offers live airbrush demonstrations, 3D printing, and the must-see exhibitions of famous Gunpla model kits. Notably, the Special Area features the institutional presence of the Aeronautica Militare and the arrival of the iconic 007 Bentley S1.
Record-Breaking Bricks in the Brick Arena
Ingenuity meets creativity in the Brick Arena, the area dedicated to colorful bricks. This year’s highlight for all motor and LEGO® fans is the incredible display of a life-sized Ferrari F1, constructed entirely from the famous bricks.
The Pop Revolution: Introducing the Verona POP&PLAY Festival
The evolution of the Play District gives rise to the brand-new Verona POP&PLAY Festival, a format designed to celebrate contemporary pop culture in all its glory. The event embraces the worlds of manga, anime, cosplay, and the emerging K-pop phenomenon, alongside the vast universe of “Play”: from video games and retro gaming to board games. The Creativity Village, dedicated to creative crafts, handmade goods, and embroidery, is also present at the fair.
The highlight of this first day will take place this afternoon: at 4:30 PM on the VeronaPop&Play stage (hall 7), the special guest Giorgio Vanni will perform. The beloved artist and singer will energize the fair with the iconic themes from cartoons of the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.
